H&M 2011 S/S
I think H&M is a gift to Recessionista (girls who love fashion but shop on a budget), they have chic European inspired clothes ( because its from Europe! ) and you can find something for everyone! not to mention the prices are smashing! Here is a quick video of their Spring summer collection, Enjoy!
M.A.C Daddy - Bronze-a-lot
Now this look I am going to put a huge fat CAUTION warning sign! dear readers: in no way imaginable am I encouraging the over use of bronzer, abusing powder, looking like a jersey shore cast member or resembling an orange. Thank you and please wear responsibly.
Alright (breathe) now onto the look :)
Alright (breathe) now onto the look :)
Now Bronzer can be tricky but with these helpful tips hopefully you will have some clarity.
I think that this picture of Hilary Duff, fully captures the look M.A.C was going for and I actually for once don't think M.A.C went over the top!
What you need to remember with bronzer is stick to the browns, if your buying a bronzer and it looks orange, most likely thats exactly how it is going to look on your skin, so stick to shades of brown.
I recommend Rimmel London Natural Bronzer (sold at most stores where Rimmel Makeup is sold.)
Now to choose a shade, go with wear you find your natural skin color for cover up. So likely if your fair you will grab the cover up on the far left side of the makeup wall, and if your darker skinned you would go far right. Stick to the shade that suites your skin not something that would make you look like you have a dirty face!
Now the way to apply it is to do a tiny bit all over your face (please blend well and into your neck!), concentrating on the apples of your cheeks brushing up towards temples. This is really supposed to replace blush but just keep it light. Add a little bronze colored eye shadow to complete the look (don't go heavy on the mascara and liner for this one). Now you can choose to add some color to your lip or just throw on lip balm. For color wise I would add ( and I hate to say it cause it is too 80's) but a dusty rose thats a hint of orange ( not super orange) its more of a warm dusty rose :) Happy Bronzing!
M.A.C Daddy - Pretty in light pink
Now if your wanting something sweet & simple, this look is for you! with a hardly any color and a light pink lip you can make a pretty statement without much work! M.A.C's take is subtle and sweet and I love how Kate Bosworth pulls it off with a fab lash and retro liner. you don't need much to make a statement!
M.A.C Daddy - Orange is the new black
Orange is in this year! If you have been in any shopping malls as of late I am sure you will notice there is a variety of the shade in many of the stores! this look requires a solid skin tone with a little bit of blush or bronzer on the cheeks and thats it! Here is M.A.C's take and my favorite way to wear it:
if you want to work the look with a little more edge, go for a retro look and use some black liquid eye-liner!

Now again I would not venture to do the eye shadow so, um, flamboyantly. I would use a dark grey or brown and keep it just to the crease. This can have a special effect on your eyes making them sultry and seem to sparkle, but if over done you can look like you have two black eyes or a raccoon. To avoid this try to stay away from sparkley eye shadows and harsh blacks in the daytime. You can add a little black and sparkle to go from daytime to night time but in the day you should stick to darker versions of the colors that bring out your eye color. Here is a good way to do that:
Here is a color wheel, if you didn't know that already, now if you look on this wheel for your eye color, and then look across the wheel from it you will find your perfect color. Now the reason for this is because if you have the opposite color on the color scale it will make your eyes look brighter. If this sounds weird or doesn't make sense, just trust me! Here is a guideline:
Light Blue Eyes - Grey USE THIS COLOR FOR light blue eyes - dark grey\silver
Dark Blue Eyes - Pink YOUR SMOKEY EYE >>> dark blue eyes - dark magenta/plum
Teal Eyes - Brown teal eyes - dark browns and golds
Green Eyes - Purple green eyes - dark purple
Hazel Eyes - Dark Blue hazel eyes - navy
Brown Eyes - Teal brown eyes - dark teals
